Itinerary
Day 01: Chennai
Day 02: Chennai
Day 03: Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram
Start your day with a visit to Koyambedu, flowers and vegetables market and drive to Mahabalipuram visiting Kanchipuram en-route. Rest of the day is free to relax at the beach.
Day 04: Mahabalipuram
Day 05: Mahabalipuram – Puducherry
Drive to Pondicherry and check in at the hotel. Visit Aurbindo ashram and Pondicherry Museum, French quarters and French war memorial.
Day 06: Puducherry – Chidabaram – Thanjavur
Post breakfast, set out for Thanjavur. Halt at Chidabaram which is a small town. Upon arrival at Thanjavur, check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free.
Day 07: Thanjavur
Day 08: Thanjavur – Madurai
After breakfast, drive to Madurai and check-in at the hotel. Later visit Gandhi Museuam, Thirumal Nayak Palace, Thousand Pillar museum and Meenakshi temple along with evening aarti ceremony.
Day 09: Madurai – Thekaddy
After breakfast, drive to Thekaddy. Arrive and check in at the hotel. In the evening enjoy Kalaripayattu – a martial arts performance.
Day 10: Thekaddy
Day 11: Thekkady – Allepey
Drive to Alleppey and check-in at the houseboat. Start a day cruise through Kerala backwaters. Spend overnight in a houseboat.
Day 12: Allepey – Cochin
After breakfast, disembark and drive to Cochin to board your departure flight back home.
