Dotted with churches and museums, this Tamil Nadu itinerary takes you through some of the most famous temples, museums, caves and ends at Kanyakumari – another gem where Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal and the Indian ocean meet and where one can see both the sunrise and the sunset.

Itinerary
Day 01: Chennai
Day 02: Chennai
Day 03: Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram
Start your day with a visit to Koyambedu, flowers and vegetables market and drive to Mahabalipuram visiting Kanchipuram en-route. Rest of the day is free to relax at the beach.
Day 04: Mahabalipuram
Day 05: Mahabalipuram – Puducherry
Drive to Pondicherry and check in at the hotel. Visit Aurbindo ashram and Pondicherry Museum, French quarters and French war memorial.
Day 06: Puducherry – Chidabaram – Thanjavur
Puducherry – Chidabaram – Thanjavur (180 kms/3-4 hrs)
Post breakfast, set out for Thanjavur. Halt at Chidabaram which is a small town. Upon arrival at Thanjavur, check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free.
Day 07: Thanjavur
Day 08: Thanjavur – Madurai
Day 09: Madurai – Kanyakumari
After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari and check-in at the hotel. Spend the evening capturing splendid views at Kanyakumari beach.
Day 10: Kanyakumari – Thiruvananthapuram
After breakfast; visit Vivekanand Rock Memorial which is situated on a small island. Later drive to Thiruvananthapuram airport to board the departure flight home, visiting Padmanabhapuram Palace, en-route (if time allows).
