When one thinks of North India, the images you usually think of, are the majestic forts of some of the famous destinations of Rajasthan: Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. However, Rajasthan has much more to offer like the golden fortress of Jaisalmer and the red sandstone fort of Bikaner. This tour takes you through a few more destinations in North India which are a must see: Orchha and Khajuraho. Orchha is famous for its well preserved medieval architecture and historical significance, while Khajuraho boasts of the intricately carved Hindu and Digambara Jain temples.

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Delhi
Day 02: Delhi – Jodhpur (by flight)
After breakfast, drive to the airport to board the morning flight to Jodhpur. Arrive in Jodhpur and check-in at the hotel. Day is free to explore on your own.
Day 03: Jodhpur
Day 04: Jodhpur – Jasialmer
Jodhpur – Jasialmer (265kms/ 4-5hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer and check-in at the hotel. Day is free to relax.
Day 05: Jaisalmer
Explore Jaisalmer Fort in the morning covering Jaisalmer fort, City Palace and Jain temples. Later visit the abandoned village of Kuldhara (also known as ghost town). Enjoy a camel ride in the evening at Sam sand dunes.
Day 06: Jaisalmer – Bikaner
Jaisalmer – Bikaner (330kms/ 5-6hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Bikaner and check-in at the hotel. Day is free to relax.
Day 07: Bikaner
Start your day with a visit to Junagarh Fort. Later proceed for an excursion to Karni Mata Temple (also known as the Rat Temple).
Day 08: Bikaner – Jaipur
Bikaner – Jaipur (335kms/ 6-7hrs)
After breakfast drive to Jaipur and check-in at the hotel. Day is free to relax. Later enjoy a cooking demonstration and dinner with a local family.
Day 09: Jaipur
Start your day with a visit to Amer Fort. Later visit City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), and Jantar Mantar (Observatory). Evening is free to explore the colourful markets of Jaipur.
Day 10: Jaipur – Agra
Jaipur – Agra (238kms/ 4-5hrs)
After breakfast drive to Agra and check-in at the hotel. Later visit Mehtab Bagh in the evening for a sunset view of the Taj Mahal from the back (without guide).
Day 11: Agra – Khajuraho (by train)
Day 12: Khajuraho – Orchha
Khajuraho – Orchha (171kms/ 2-3hrs)
After breakfast visit the temple complex and drive to Orchha. Arrive in Orchha and check-in at the hotel.
Day 13: Orchha – Jhansi
Orchha – Jhansi (17kms/ 1hr) – Delhi (by train)
After breakfast visit the the Orchha Fort and along with Orchha temples. Later drive to Jhansi to board the train to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi and check-in at the hotel.
